Hours of Operation
Office hours are between the hours of 9:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A
representative of NCDATS will be available to disseminate consumer information during office hours.
The NCDATS course runs for eight consecutive weeks (except for student holidays) on Saturdays from
the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch. Weekday classes run Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00 p.m to 10:00 p.m.
Breaks are given for ten minute periods every hour.
Dress Code
For the Dental Assisting and Dental Radiographers courses, it is required that students go ahead and buy a uniform. Khaki or Navy Blue scrubs are the preferred NCDATS attire.
Training Aids
Instructors are supplied with teaching manuals, appropriate charts, videos, diagrams,
human mannequins and all dental equipment and supplies necessary for laboratory and operatory
training.
Admissions
Admissions Requirements
· Any person who has attained a high school diploma or a recognized equivalency certificate
(GED) is eligible to attend NCDATS subject to a personal interview. All applicants must exhibit a proper
willingness and enthusiasm to learn the skills required to effectively work in a dental office.
· Admissions at NCDATS are conducted throughout the year. Those applicants who apply during the
course of class training will be given first consideration to be enrolled in the next course. New
classes start approximately every eight weeks.

Financial Aid or Assistance
Currently, NCDATS has no financial aid packages available.
Academic Standards
Class Size
For Dental Assisting and Dental Radiographers classes, the teacher/student ratio will not exceed 10 students per one instructor. There is a minimum of 5 students required in each class.
Graduation Requirements
A certificate of achievement will be awarded to the Dental Assisting Program. A certificate of achievement will be awarded to those Dental Radiographer students who have achieved a score of at least 75% total points on the final examination and an acceptable result on the practical exam.
Leave Of Absence Policy
A student may be granted one leave of absence per course. A leave of absence must be requested in
writing prior to the beginning of the requested leave and must be approved by the school director.
A copy of the approved leave of absence request will be maintained in the student's academic file.
The student must make up the time missed due to an approved leave of absence during the next
scheduled term in order to satisfy the graduation requirements. A leave of absence is discouraged
except in emergency situations.
